Pride in Ghana
“I believe that as Africans, we are proud of our heritage and our colour. We know its beautiful.
Being Kenyans living in a Ghanaian community, we like to remind ourselves of where we come from. I love taking pictures and on occasion we dress in different attires from the different Kenyan communities, take pictures and embrace our culture. On this particular day, we had national day celebrations in our school and we dressed as the Swahili culture of Mombasa Kenya. We hope to use our creativity to give back to our community by demonstrating to children how they can be African with their culture but still be elegant and glamorous.” Tasha Mapenzi Munira
